My planter warts keep coming back! Please help me. When I was younger I had planter warts and I had them removed, only for them to come back. So I had them cut out again. Now 18 years later the same problem. Last August I had some removed from my right foot, now they are back and twice as bad. Also I am a bartender so I am always on my feet and they are starting to really bother me. What causes this and are there any home remedies that really work? I have an appointment to have them cut out again, but I would really like to find a less painful and inexpensive way to take care of them. Please let me know and thank you.

I went to the doctor and they put that acid stuff on there, kept it dry like they said and it didn't do a thing, she told me to come back if it didn't help, so I thought, I know what the doc did and I can do this at home.(no coverage for doc. visits)
Here's what I did. I'd soak my feet in half and half, hot water and Apple Cider vinegar w/the mother in it(health food store)for 30 min.(wash the feet first this way you can save the vinegar water and just reheat in the micro.) Have another soak tub ready with regular hot water. After soaking in the vinegar water for the 30min., I'd take a pumice stone and really saw on the plantars wart. Then soak in hot water again. The pumice it again, I kept doing this till it looked smaller in size. Then I sterilized a pick. (or large needle would work too.) Pick the wart open around the edges.Once you've done that put a drop of ex-strength wart remover on the wart. Then I bought some of the large corn pads. The big spongy oval ones with a hole in the middle. I cut one side out and turned it around to fit inside the other half,to make a single piece. When the med. was dry I put this on there and use athletic tape to hold it in place. Leave it on and keep it dry for 4 days. The sponges stick really good. Then, Rip it off when you take it off. Don't peel gently. Repeat till the wart is gone. I had a big one two years ago, it hasn't come back since. I also do an occasional foot soak with the vinegar and some sea/salt added to the water. It's suppose to prevent fungus growths. Hope you see results the way I did. Took a few times to get rid of it. And I'd use the pumis stone real hard and fast till it got hot. The sponge also cushions the wart, so it doesn't hurt so much. Good luck

I had a Plantar's wart on the bottom of my foot when I was younger. I had a type of acid put on it by a Poditrist. It formed a large blister in the area by the following day that I busted with a sterile needle. I can't quite remember it either took 2 or 3 of these treatments before it was gone. I think I had them maybe one a week or every two weeks. Good Luck.
