the other one was so full i thought i'd start another one.
as a few of you know i have been in a cast for 6 weeks. i went through some major depression while sporting the cast. the feelings of helplessness, worthlessness and fearing that i'd never get better just seemed to over whelm me. but i went to get the cast off today and had a long talk with the doc. he said that i not only have pf, but tarsel tunnel as well. he put me on some meds to try to calm down my nerves in my feet. he says that is what is causing the severe burning sensation in my feet. if i am not better in 4 weeks we are scheduling surgery. not something i am looking forward to, but i gotta get better so i can go back to work. being broke sucks!

oh miss katkat....i feel your pain! not in the feet, but the emotional/psychological/spiritual doldrums you are sitting in right now. i got myself some great meditation tapes (i know, sounds hokey...)after my PF/bunionectomy last year.....i wrote alot about the pain, and the feelings that it brought up for me. that was the biggest surprise, through the writing, was finding out about some deep-seated stuff that i never would have taken the time to deal with had it not been for surgery knocking me off my feet. i also started doing some upper body weight stuff and ended up with some awesome biceps and tighter triceps!!! watched a lot of movies....read a good deal. i know, i know......you just want it to be over. i am out here if you want to blow off some steam!! i'll listen, and i'll say "there there, there there"....i really will. i know that, at least, helps during recovery...just being heard. i hope you have a good tomorrow...and that your healing goes smoothly. take care.
