Hello,

I had the surgery without a pin. The surgery I had was a hammertoe with a pin and bunion surgery with screws inserted to straighten out my big toe. My surgery was unsuccessful because the hammertoe surgery did not work well with the pin. And the screws inserted was screwed too far protruding pass from one bone to the other. This resulted in additional surgery. You will need a very patient and caring doctor because this type of action requires a lot of rehabilitation and therapy.

Hope this info help, JB
