Hi! I'm new to this board. My name is Shannon. I've been suffering with migraines for about 5 years now.

My new headache regimen is amitriptyline as a prophylactic, and alternating days with Fioricet and Relpax. (Relpax is my wonder drug, I had a lot of side effects from Imitrex and almost none from the Relpax)

However, I've found on my own that instead of needing to take two Fioricet, with okay results, I can combine the Fioricet with 1mg of Lorazapam. It seems that for me the combination provides much quicker and longer lasting results.

I understand that there may be concern with combining two drugs that are CNS depressants, however I'm not over sedating myself.

Other then that I don't know of any potential problems with this remedy. I was wondering if anyone else might know. Also, wanted to know some of the little things other people do to relieve their migraines, be it pharmaceuticals or not.
