about two months ago i had a fever and my whole body ached, then i had diahrea for a few days, then i startd to get headaches, i also had a nose bleed a big clot came out, some times i get hot flushes, my legs and arms ache all th time, i keep waking up during the night and having really strange dreams, i get aches in my neck, ears and throat, i have also got a red spotty rash on my legs, i have had several blood tests to test my liver, kidneys and thyroid that all came back fine, then i had a blood test for my red blood cound and the results showed that i had high platelet levels, it was 473,
normal is between 150 - 450, the doctor said theres nothing to worry about and hes not even going to do any more tests on me so im going to get a second opinion, theres a reason why im getting these symptoms and i wanna find out, i have read that high platelet levels can be caused by leukemia, has any one had the same symptoms? does anyone know what could be rong with me? can anyone with leukemia tell me what there symptoms were?
please help im a bit worried

The last time a doctor told me there was nothing to worry about, I had stage IV breast cancer. Get a new doctor ASAP!!!! I can't answer your question as to symptons, because my leukemia came on the heels of breast cancer and lots of treatment. I don't really know which symptoms were related to which problem except that my platelets were low and I got severe nose bleeds. Maybe someone else can chime in??????? Please do not give up until you get an answer. Maybe you should see an oncologist and request a bone marrow biopsy?
