Might not be your feet, but footwear. Synthetic socks don't breathe, simulated leather shoes don't breathe, and the conbination will soak your feet. Cotton socks make all the differrence. Also, taking any medicines?

I saw a documentary show once about a guy that had excessive sweating on the hands and feet. They took some gland out that over produced the sweat. You could try soaking your feet in epsom salts and let them air dry, that way the salts stay on the skin and keeps it dryer. If that doesn't work I'd check with your doctor on the gland thing. Diana

i saw that show too. its realy expensive though and i dont even have a job right now so thats not even an option. ill try the salt thing though. i while back my doctor gave me a perscription for this stuff called drysol. i had to put it on my hands and feet and then wrap them in saran wrap and then put mittens on my hands overnight. i hated it so much i just stopped. i couldnt sleep with it on. well thanks!

sorry to hijack this thread...please forgive me - but as no one replied to my exact OPPOSITE question/thread I was wondering if any of those with really sweaty feet have clear skin - no acne etc face or body. I'm trying to do some research on sweating (and lack of)and skin problems - thanks and sorry.

There are 2 conditions - hyperhydrosis, which is just the abnormal, excessive sweating, and the lesser-known, Bromhydrosis, which is the sweating w/ bad odor. There are a couple roll-on type treatments that your dr can prescribe. Some idiot dr wouldn't listen to me when I told him the psoriasis on my feet was also accompanied by excessive sweating so bad, my shoes would be wet on inside B4 lunchtime, & none of the over-the-counter stuff worked. He treated me for the above; an incorrect diagnosis, since sweating only began 6 months after psoriasis, & was really stress reaction to swollen, painful feet. I got away from that dr., but that's how I learned about the 2 conditions. Good luck

well my feet are really sweaty and smelly too, but i think its because my skin on the bottom on my feet is actually smoother and softer then my palms......i think if you have soft skin on then bottom of your feet and very little fat tissue on your feet it can call your nerves to react to different tempertures very easily causing your feet to sweat more......normally the body sweats to cool down and acts as a cooler , as so to speak of..
