View Full Version : Why am I ALWAYS hot?

It's gotten to the point where it's absolutely ridiculous. I'm overweight, yes, but that doesn't account for why I get so hot so easily and why I sweat almost constantly, even sometimes when sitting still or doing very little activity. It's so bad I can't wear sweaters or even long sleeves unless it's really cold out, I almost always put my hair up in a ponytail because I get too hot when it's down, I can't even wear makeup because sweat just pours off my face so much it all runs off.

As for where the sweat's coming from? 90% of it is my face. I also sweat heavily under my arms no matter what deodorant I use, and (strangely) even my bra makes me sweat.

Like I said, I know part of it is my weight (I'm 5'7" and 270 pounds -- yeah, I know, I'm working on it), but I have friends my size and larger and they only sweat...well, normally, like when it's really hot out. Even as a child I sweat more than a lot of people -- I remember not being able to wear Halloween makeup for the same reasons I can't wear real makeup now. But the past several years it's just gotten worse and worse.

I asked my doctor and he told me to take an allergy pill every day to "keep histamines from being released" (?) -- and it doesn't work. Still pouring sweat. Anyone have any idea what might be up and how I would go about getting it treated? It's really incredibly embarrassing, so any help would be greatly appreciated. :)
