I am not sure how low your Vitamin D is. I had a Vit D (25 OH) test and my level was 19.9 (32-100). I have been having a lot of bone pain in my hips, legs and feet. The experts are saying now that the absolute minimum is 32. I got a Rx for capsules each 50,000IU. I took them 2x/week for 2 weeks and then 1x/week now for the next 12 weeks. They did not make me sick. I have follow up blood tests in a couple weeks to see if the levels are improving. What were your blood test results? Do you have any symptoms that made the doctor test Vitamin D levels??

i don't have any symptoms orther than just having osteoporosis. i have to take a 50000 iu capsule once a week for four weeks and then get blood checked in two months. i'm a very small person so he dind't want me to take any more than that. i don't know what my level was, but the doc said it was very low. i don't have much body fat either.
