Dear Friends,
I've had tophi on my fingers, toes, ankles and feet.
Doctors not willing to operate and remove tophis surgically.
I think the best way is to take allopurinol and 8 cups of water a day.
This will allow the solid tophis to dissolve. Extra water will allow the dissolved uric acid to be flushed away, and not re-solidy in the kidneys, which can result in painful kidney stones.
When tophis dissolve, there may be a relapse, so be sure to have cholcocine on standby.
