i was wondering if anyone has any information on toe surgery. i was thinking upon reducing the size of one of my toes. my second toe is actually longer then my other toes, i know its genetic since i notice it in my family. but i don't think its attractive, so if any one has any information for me it would be greatly appreciated. please reply with any information you might have to help me.

I know this isn't much help for you, but.....I've always been told that if your second toe is longer than your big toe, that is a sign of intelligence! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif (Just thought I'd share that with you. I hope you find some better answers. Oh, also, if you feel your feet are unattractive: paint your toenails. I swear it will make your feet prettier!)

My second toe is almost twice the size of my others (not really but you get the point) I paint my toenails red and i have a white gold (silver would work) toe ring on those toes. Make sure you got the flat ones--they are the ones that do not hurt in shoes. I think this makes the feet look sexy.

I remember being told at some time in my life..that if the toe next to your Big Toe is longer than your Big toe...that you are the Boss of the family! lol! I don't know how true that is..but you might do a reality check and see just where the pants in the family lie! lol!

Have a great day!

When I had the joint replaced in my great toe the dr also removed a joint in the next toe to shorten it. He also broke and reset the bone to that toe in order to lift it so that when I walk I am not bearing all my weight on that toe. The surgery worked well. I was always very sore on the sole of my foot under that toe and that is gone.

Hi,
I'd just like to add my two cent's worth. As someone who is still recovering from foot surgery due to an injury:

http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/idea.gif If it's not broken, don't fix it!!!

Foot surgery is very painful. Feet come in all shapes and sizes, and it is common for that particular toe to be a little bit longer. Just be thankful your feet get you where you want to go without pain. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif

Since my surgery, one of the affected toes next to my big toe seems a little longer, so things might not turn out exactly as you plan. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/confused.gif

Seriously though, whatever you choose to do, I wish you luck!!

surgery is def no fun! my left foot was broken for a year and i was in cast after cast, it wasnt surgery but even that wasnt fun! surgery would take even longer to recover. I have had surgery on my head and that REALLY wasnt fun

My second toe is larger than my big toe also. Never gave it much thought though. I just thought that was the normal shape of a foot! Anyway, doesn't bother me in the least. see ya, buck.
