My daughter is 5 months old. Starting at around 3 1/2 month she became really difficult to soothe at naps and bedtimes. We try putting her to sleep at first signs of tiredness and being very tire and neither work. She isnt soothed by breastfeeding, rocking, snuggleing, giggling etc. The only thing that works is holding her till she cries herself to exhaustion of car rides. Now recently shes been a little better and falls asleep at the breast or sometimes

My dd (now 1 yr) woke up every 30 minutes to an hour until she was 6 1/2 months old. At that point I started letting her cry it out a bit because I was losing it. My situation was different thought because she would only fall asleep on the breast or with a bottle and everytime she woke up she wanted it again. After 6 1/2 months she still woke up a few times a night but it was nothing compared to before.

I just wanted to tell you that I know what it feels like to have a baby who doesn't sleep well, and although it seems never ending, it will get better. My dd is finally sleeping through the night and I can't believe it. She just started a couple of weeks ago. Now the problem is she wakes up at 4:30 a.m. for the day and it's really hard to get her back to sleep for another hour (that's all I want!).

Good luck to you.. I hope it gets better soon

p.s. I also let dd sleep on her stomach since 3 1/2 months. I tried it once and after that she would flip herself as soon as I'd lie her down. It help a little with the sleeping, but not much.
