It's possible for a person to spread the virus to other parts of their bodies, however, this usually only happens within the first year of getting the virus - before your body has created enough antibodies to fight it effectively. This would happen if you had touched a cold sore, and then your genitals without washing your hands.

well i have had cold sores since i was 13, am now 20 and i think i may have genital herpes. My partner doesn't have it. I'm really worried, i've had them about 2 months and there is no pain or itching, but they won't go away and do look like genital herpes. Could i have it?

Could you have it?? Sure, anything's possible. But there is absolutely no way that anyone can diagnose anyone else over the iternet. It might just as easily be a yeast infection for all I know.
YOu need to see a doctor, and have the lesions swabbed. A blood test won't help you, because you already have oral herpes.

Go to the doctor and get it checked out. Its simple as that. Then you'll know.
