I have a history of migraine for the past four years have taken Viropramil 240mg for prevention. For a year in half I went off the Viropramil with no migraine. Then in the past month, I have endured migraines and have went back on the Viropramil 240mgs and Midrin as needed for rescue relief.

Last Saturday night I was in the urgent care for treatment of extreme nausea and migraine headache. They gave me two shots for relief and for the rest of the week I experienced a mild migraine headache and periodic intense nausea and dizziness. The migraine is w/o aura and is centered in my head. It also pulsates like the pulsation of the heart off and on. A week later this Saturday, I ended up in the emergency room for extreme nausea with mild migraine-the nausea was so bad I just wanted to take anything to relieve it. I received a Toradol injection but this didn't do anything this time and then the Imitrex shot did the trick.

My doctor prescribed an increase of my Effexor XR from 75 to 150mgs to help with pain centers and a prescription for nausea and pain -Imitrex and the med for nausea. I decided to lay low off the Effexor XR for a few days to see if this is what is causing the nausea but for now does anyone have any idea what on earth is going on because I feel crazy.
