Till the day we day. I'm sorry to be such a downer but it's been 10 yrs for me and I went yet to another ENT spec today with same symptoms that I never get a break from.

It depends on the severity of the symptoms and if you are taking any medication to help you. I've had mine last a few hours and then I've had it last for 6 months.
Just be diligent about your medication and the foods you ingest. Rest is important too along with not getting so stressed out. That's easier said than done but stress does make GERD worse.
How long have you had it so far? What are your symptoms? Have you seen a GI to get medicated and/or treated for it?
