Hi, I just got some lab work back saying that I have high IgA 445 and vitamin D difficency with D2 <1.0 and D3 at 27.

I was doing some research on the web, and I saw that high immunogobulin means you have some form of cancer, autoimmune disease or liver disease or hepatitis.

I'm really scared now cause I'm worried that something is really really wrong with me. I've had fairly constant dirreah for a long time now and the nurse that called said the high IgA could be a result of that? Is that really bad or do I have colon cancer?

I'm just really freaked out now and I'm not sure what kind of doctor to see next. Any advice or guidance is appreciated.

Hi Amy , sorry to see that your so scared but you made the right choice in seeing a GI doctor. You also may want to see a hematologist to go over that blood work and he will probably do additional tests on your blood to see if anything suspicious shows up. I am scared as well due to some bad blood work results so I know how you feel. I truly hope you get some answers soon. Take care and let us know how you make out at the doctor on the 1st.
