View Full Version : my OS is saying the Crissmann-Snook would be the best fix.

I wrecked on my motocycle and trashed my ankle so my OS is saying the Crissmann-Snook would be the best fix. So I scheduled the prcd on 13 Dec, 07 (two days after my last final). I have a little under 4 weeks off of school before the next semester starts. I'm rather concerned because I don't like the thought of surgery. I have read these post and they seem helpful but I have not found anything on the web that explains in detail what all is involved in this prcd. All I know is what my OS has told me. does anyone have a website or just anything that explains this prcd. dlynnlutz, any information you can provide will be helpful as you have gone through this before. I have searched for the Biomechanics (Jan 2006) but have had no luck. my OS says that I should only be on crutches for 5-7 DAYS and off of work 4-5 days???!!!! Is this right? Did I hear him wrong? My Lateral motion in my stress x-rays messured 33 degrees when a normal ankle is just 12...so I know something needs to be done. I'm looking for; time on crutches, recovery time, pain management, ability to go to school, time i should scedule of off work, ect. Please advise.
