I am only 21yrs old, and myself and my family have just been given the most horrible news that my mum only has one year to live.
She had cancer they think started in her lung (never smoked in her whole life, where's the fairness in that?), then it spread to her brain with 4 tumors there, one causing a terrifying seizure followed by brain surgery, and then one tumor on her hip bone too.
This all occurred earlier this year, so it has definitely been a rollercoaster ride for us all, her especially.
And now, just when we thought things were going okay, we got results saying the hip bone cancer has spread to her ribs and legs...
She doesnt want to do anymore chemo, she sees it as a poison, and has been into the holistic approach throughout this whole thing, but it obviously hasnt worked....Its so emotionally painful having to watch my mum go through this, shes only 53yrs old, and was so fit and healthy, noone saw it coming...
I am finding it extremely difficult to deal with, and I just feel so helpless. Shes too young for this to be happening to her... its been the most horrible year so far, and it doesnt seem to be getting any easier anytime soon, I just wish the doctors would give us some good news!

Good Mornin Lexy,

So sorry to hear about your mum. I just wanted to let you know if you need someone to listen to I will be here.
I too am going through a parent having cancer with no cure and only time will tell. I hope that you take everyday to spend time with your mum. I know this board is a good place to come when you need someone to talk to. As everyone here has had some experience or another with the effects of this horrible disease.

Hi. I'm so sorry to hear about your mum. My dad was recently diagnosed with incurable bladder cancer. I just could not believe it. It is hard to picture the future. I am just trying to make life as happy for him as possible and spend as much time with him as possible. Hang in there

hiya, my names pj im 27 and live in the usa, newhampshire, reading your post really made me a bit sad today as the same thing happened to me with my mom and that was like three years ago now.. just remember a few things
that no life isnt fair but you must not look at the situation like that. things just happen and we dont really have all the answers untill we get to heaven and find out. please take a deep breath and take each day with your mom as a gift and yes its tough to see your mom in pain trust me i know all too well. and me kinda being moms fav hit me twice as hard. yes its all going to be painfull but please ask the lord to look out for you as you go through all this and he will. also for experience try and get as much sleep as possible as lack of sleep makes it all soo much more stressfull. good luck to you and my prayers are with your mom..
take care

I am very sorry to hear that news, that is utterly devastating.. but remember:

No one can tell anyone how long they're going to live. It's up to YOUR MOM, I REPEAT IT IS UP TO YOUR MOM HOW LONG SHE HAS TO LIVE

***NOT*** THE DOCTORS.

Your mom decides when she wants to go and is ready.
