hi. i was on a juice fast for 25 days, beginning with fresh veggie/fruit juices then progressing towards just tea, water, fresh grapefruit juice and "smooth move" herbal laxative teas, due to the fact that after about a week of no food i was very constipated. when i did "go" it didnt hurt though. 3 days ago i started eating again, on the first day i had hummus, some baby carrot, a bit of cucumber, some cashews, and some fruit, all organic. the next day i did about the same thing, and then today i had some brown rice and broccoli with a garlic sauce. I took the laxative tea, but this time my bowels moved within about an hour of my dinner, and not in the time frame of the tea, so im assuming it was natural movement. however, about two 1-hour, excrutiating trips to the bathroom later, my rectum is burning so badly i can barely sit or lay down. id think its because i havent gone in a few days and that the foods im eating are more solid now but i need a second opinion. i put some baby ointment on the spot but it hasnt done much. help!
