i have been diagnosed with one, and know that there are two cures: cortisone injections and surgery ...

which works better? does either really 'cure' it? how long am i out of commission with surgery?

Cortisone didn't work for me.

I had surgery a few months ago.
Was actually only off work 1 week.
Doc wanted me to take more time; but with a somewhat cushy desk job-I did fine.

SO far I have traded in 1 pain for a few numb toes and maybe a 50% decrease in pain. I was hoping results would be better. We shall see in time.

pain isn't really my problem, altho' it does hurt if i wear any but one of my current shoes (25 pairs and counting) ..

it's the swelling -- did that go down?

thanks for answering :)
