I know this will probably give everyone the biggest laugh in their adult life, but does anyone's toes ever just move on its own??? I know this sounds completely ridiculous, but mine do. I don't really know how to explain it but when I use a certain muscle in my foot or toe, or bend my foot a certain way, sometimes it starts bending forward on its own. It hurts! And, the only way for me to stop it is to grab the toe and try bending it back. Even then it sometimes takes me a while to get it regular. It's like it has its own mind and body, and I need to try and control it. Sometimes that happens with my whole foot, too. I'm thinking its just a cramp, but I've asked several people about this and they all think I'm insane, of course. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dizzy.gif http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif ;)
Anyways, does anyone have any idea why it does this? Anyone experienced this or something similar?

summer603,
is it muscle spasms? i know i get muscle spasms in my toes when i sometimes stretch out (from head to toe, like when i'm wake up in the morning) i kinda get a tightening cramp across the bottom of my foot, and then the toes just curl forward/down and i have to massage the "kink" out. other than that, it never moves on its own. hope that helps you.

I also get cramping in my foot, esp. at night after running. The cramping indicates a temporary calcium deficiency...a lot is used by muscles when you exercise. Taking calcium pills helps if your diet is low in calcium foods.
