Can someone catch genital herpes from their own cold sore by touch?

catharine101 10-24-2007, 06:37 PM Yes. It's called auto-innoculation. It generally only occurs within the first year or so of getting the virus, because your immune system hasn't built up the antibodies to fight the virus yet. But it CAN happen outside that time frame as well. |
