For the past 5 days I have been having pain in both of my kidneys. Sometimes it is more in the flanks in the kidney and sometimes it feels more like it is in the ureter.
It isn't severe but I'd say it is moderate pain. It fluctuates and is intermittent.
I have had so many infections over my the last 15 years that I lost count.
I have reflux in both of my kidneys and my right kidney is the worst one and also is dilated.
Thats what i've been told anyway. I've had lots of ultrasounds on the.

I had surgery when I was about 14 to try to fix it. They did a cystoscopy I thin it was and told me my ureters are shaped like horse shoes..

Anyway, I dont know what this pain is and wouldn't mind some advice before I go to the doc. Sigh .. i'm so tired of them..I wish they would just work properly =(

thank you for reading and any advice aswell.
I forgot to add that they are tender aswell.

No I haven't had any bloodwork in about 6 months. I guess I should go get some done.
I'll call my doc and make an appt. today but might take a few days to get in.

I know, sometimes you just never know. Are they at least going to do bloodwork before the appt??
I hope you feel better!

Try elevating your hips often, especially after drinking. Keep your hips higher then your head for at least 20 minutes 2 or 3 times a day. If the pain ebbs --- you got stones but the elevation should help ease the bad boys out. Increase your citrus intake if you notice the pain ebbing this way you may dissolve the stones a bit making passage easier. (This may not work depending on stone composition - which you won't know until the stone comes out.)
