MY dad had L4+L5 fusion 5 years ago and has never been the same. He can hardly walk cause of damaged nerves in feet. He feels dizzy, some days and billious and is on 3 pain killers a day and cannot function like he used to. Would this titanium plate be causing anything like this as he has not had another MRI since the back op 5 years ago?

It does sound like residual nerve damage - though not necessarily due to the plates or screws in his back. He should see a neurological surgeon as soon as possible to be evaluated to determine the cause of the nerve damage.
