Because of continuing chest pain, my GP put me on isosorbide mononitrate yesterday. I know that headache is a common side-effect, but am finding it quite incapacitating. Yesterday I had more chest pain than previously, although OK so far today.

How long do the severe headaches usually last? Does the body get used to the drug in time?
