Just got my biopsy results back from my colonoscopy & EGD. Active colitis. Inflammation. Gastritis. What does this all mean? She said she was calling in an antibiotic & to stay away from seeds, tomatoes, cucumbers, bread with sesame seeds.... Is this the kind of colitis that goes away or is it something I will always have to watch? That's what I am trying to figure out. But "active colitis" didn't tell me much....

Anyone else out there with the same diagnosis? What does it all mean in the sheme of things? Will it go away with treatment or is this really a never-ending chronic disease?
