Hi all,
This is for my Grandmother. She had a blood test performed this week (evening time) and by 11am the next day her results were back. She was told to see her GP but they are closed for the weekend and I can't get her a appointment until Monday.
I phoned the GP receptionist today and I asked specifically what her blood test values were and I was told her Electrolytes is 10.6 and her creatinne is 146. Gran does have Kidney problems and this is a relatively stable number for her as its been a lot higher in the past. But I'm very concerned about her Electrolyte level. From the research I've done on the internet, the 10.6 level sounds like she has severe high potassium level. All the over values is done in ML and I was specifically told its 10.6.
Gran has had high potassium in the past but when this happened the GP phoned her and told her to go straight to Hospital. But admittably this was a better GP compared to the one Gran is with now. I'm sorry if I sound panicky but I'm worried sick about her.
Does this sound like potassium? What would you advise if it is?
Gran is Diabetic and has Heart disease.
