Like a lot of the posters on this board so far I've not had a lot of luck controling GERDS. I've made a little progress but I still can't really live my life the way I used too or the way I want too. So far I've used a number of different PPIs, tried most of the home remedies, changed to the SCD diet. In my search for things or diets that may possibly bring some relief I've ran accross a number of people who are eating RAW and claim it has eliminated all heartburn problems. This is a radical diet and lifestyle but I'm just about to the point I'll try anything if it might help and doesn't have the potential to harm me.

So anyone been there done that?

Hi,
I haven't been on a raw diet but I've incorporated a lot of raw veggies into my diet. It's very difficult to switch to all raw for me(especially if you don't like veggies very much like me) I eat them with every meal, sometimes that is the meal. I've noticed it helps a great deal. Raw veggies are supposed to be harder to digest than cooked but I don't notice a problem with them. I ate a bagel the other day for breakfast and I got terrible heartburn. After I eat raw veggie lunch or dinner I never have a problem. Veggies don't hurt. Try eating more and more. It definately helps me :)
