View Full Version : On this board, negative discussion of bipolar people is rude.

Think about it:

Imagine having a debilitating, life-altering illness. Imagine entering into a room where you expect to find like-minded people and receive understanding and support. And some people do offer this.

But then you hear other people talking out loud as if you are not there. Those people are discussing what to do with the people in their lives that have the illness. Some even discuss that they are fed up with dealing with the problems. They vent their anger about having to deal with the problems.

Someone with the illness suggests that perhaps compassion, patience, and encouragement could be extended, at least when those with the illness make steps to deal with it.

Some of those who are not ill respond that they are the ones needing the compassion and patience shown to them.

This scenario is what happened on this board.
That is so hurtful and incredibly rude.

We all know it is stressful to deal with any loved one being ill. But, no one that is ill should have to deal with negative attitudes from so-called healthy people.

If you are not on this website to be only kind and supportive of those with illness, then you do need to get help elsewhere.
