After failure with all alternative options and all PPI's, my doctor has perscribed baclofen for me to try. I have yet to take it. I have daily persistant GERD/burn. Has anyone tried this approach? Baclofen is supposed to work on the LES muscle, tightening it. It is a newer approach to the disease. I would love to hear feedback from anyone who has tried it.

Hi, I take baclofen, but not for acid reflux, it is a muscle relaxer, I have arthritis in the neck and shoulders, and it helps. I also switch off and on to flexeril, I am trying to see which one helps mor, right now I think that flexeril is winning. I do take Prevacid for acid reflux, it helps me a great deal, and of course I have to watch what I eat, nothing too spicy.
