Hey my friends,
I wanted to let you all know that I've gone to the next step in my Lamictal doseage. Whoooweee. Lets see how this goes.
I am starting to feel soooo much better - yesterday :(
I've started walking everyday -- today I actually when 3 miles up and down hill. I give the Deplin medication ALL the credit.
Can anyone recommend a sleep med for me? My Pdr will not give me Klonopin - even though I only used to talk .5mg a night. He said it should only be used for anxiety.... So now that I can't take that I'm up all night -all night.
I need something that won't make me tired the next day.
Lamictal is now up to 100 mg. hehheheheheh not much be better than 50mg.
Effexor 300 mg day

Hiya,
Well, I just increased Lamictal to 200 today, so you have company.
Sleep med: I have used Ativan for years, and it still works. I take 1 milligram, and it knocks me out and doesn't seem to make me groggy the next day.
I have noticed, though, that the number of hours I sleep is reduced radically when I am getting hypomanic again, though some of this might be the initial increased anxiety from the Lamictal.
I hope the increase goes well for both of us!
Cheers, Seaturtle

Seaturtle,
I'm soooooo glad to see you post. I'm worried my world is shrinking. I guess all will be well again.
I went to Barnes and Noble and sat and read tons of BP books. I learned a great deal. I'm not sleepy but I can't tell if it is hypermania or the 2 mochas venti. :dizzy:
I learned that what I have is not "mania", but is "hypermania". I am Bipolar II - w/ a Major depression history.
John Hopkins said that klonopin is fine for sleep - not sure why my Pdr doesn't want to give it to me.
My next appointment isn't until mid Dec - I will need to sleep before then I'm sure. hahahahaha Not sleeping is keeping me semi hypermanic right now. or or is this simply what normal people feel like. hahahah
:bouncing: I would really like to know. One thing I know is that my depression is gone and I'm not on a spending spree. I only left the store with 2 books. Huge improvement.

I would really ask your pdoc about trazodone if he/she wont let you take klonopin for sleep. It worked for me. Give your pdoc a call if you are not sleeping. He/she should do someting for you!
I am fighting off hte klonopin as I type here now. Just wanted to check in with everybody. And it is my birthday btw! I am now 24!
