I'm 34 male and in good shape but GERD is just kicking my butt.
I was doing better with my GERD until I ate some Korea spicy food, then one day later I started to get a lot of gas and now I'm feeling not so good.
I have trouble breathing at night, feels like I have a bricks in my tummy.
I'm wondering if this is normal for GERD and that I shouldn't worry. My bowel movements have been good, no major pain, no throwing up so I guess I'm ok?
I just get these anxieties that something is very wrong.
I'm thinking about going on Prosilec since that my insurance won't cover the Aciphex anymore.
This is so exhausting, I havn't slept well for a while now.. :(

Hmmm your symptoms are a bit different than mine but I did want to make a comment on the insurance thing. After about four years of taking Nexium Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan cut me off and said that I should get used to Prilosec. I just started taking it today.

hi Frenchy,
those sound like typical symptoms; remember, anxeity makes all of these symptoms worse; also, symptoms are transient and come and go; hang in there and maybe you should slack off the korean food for a while, or at least take a ppi before you indulge...
