Hello, I hope someone can help me with this.

My name is John, and I'm 19 years old. When I was 16 years old, several buddies told me I shook when I was eating, although I had never payed attention to it before.

Next year I'm starting 2nd year of medical school and I'm trying to get rid of this condition. The most obvious place of my tremors is my hands, that's why I'm concerned, I want to become a surgeon, with shaky hands?

So I tried B-Complex shots, no effect, then some pills that contained (excuse my grammar but the names are in spanish so I'll try my best to translate them)

Caffeine 50mg
Glutamic Acid (?) 230mg
Monosodic Phosphate 30mg
Lecithin (?) 35mg
Chlorhydrate Pyridoxine 4mg
Chlorhydrate Thiamine (?) 10mg
B12 Vitamin 5mcg

I'm getting kind of worried because today I'm surfing through the web trying to find a reasons to body tremors and stopped at Parkinson's disease so it really shook me whole and not just my hands.

It usually sticks to shaky hands and is most of the time there, except hen I'm using my hands, I can still draw straight lines :) or coordinate my fingers and everything is normal. When I'm in stress it gets worse, and I have to hide my hands in my pockets, which is kind of useless because I feel that my head is also trembling and that everyone can see it. I have asked a doctor about his opinion and he sent me to get blood tests, everything normal and then he said it was due to stress or anxiety. Is it be possible to live a stressing anxious teenager life? Other suggested it could be due to a thyroid disorder but he couldn't be 100% sure.

I have no medical conditions like diabetes, asthma or others. Also, I've had only one surgery in my upper back due to an accident with a tree branch falling on my back, not too big, just a couple of stitches.

My grandfather suffers from tremors, but it's not Parkinson's, he's around 80 years old, so I believe the term is Senile Tremors.

So if someone could help me, point me in the right direction or anything I would greatly appreciate it, thanks.

Hope to be hearing from someone soon !!

john it sounds to me like you have essential tremor of the hand. just see a neurologist. i have it of the neck plus dystonia and believe me it's much worse.

john i also forgot to mention that essential tremor is hereditary. since your grandfather had it, there is a good chance that is what it it. remember Katherine Hepburn the actress. she has essential tremor (of the head) good luck
