Had hemorroidectomy but developed a stenosis 3 weeks afterwards and had to be readmitted for the Dr. to perform anal dilation to open me up again. Now at 5 weeks since the initial surgery and still having to strain with BMs!Eating lots of fiber and taking 1 tablespoon of Metamucil each morning to soften stool which does help. Does anyone know about the tightening of the rectum due to any scar tissue that might have formed up there and if this tightness will be permanent? My father-in-law had the surgery years ago and said his tightness was only temporary. Afraid I'm going to give myself another damned hemorroid or bust a vein in my head!!

Just found out from second Dr. you can get a second stenosis!!! Have to go in for another anal dilation!! Will this ever end?!
