About 2 weeks ago I developed what feels like a muscle ache in my left arm between elbow and shoulder. When I stretch my arm to reach for something, I feel the ache most. After the ache subsides, I sometimes get burning sensations in the arm and occasionally in the upper left part of my chest. The sensations don't last long....a minute or two (sometimes less). Of course I got worried and went to doctor thinking it was heart-related. He did an EKG which came back normal. Said it could be pinched nerve or possible neuropathy since I'm diabetic. Didn't really think it was neuropathy since that usually starts in feet. I'm thinking it might be bursitis, arthritis or something along those lines. Anyone have anything similar?

Sounds like you have a pinched nerve, check with a neurologist to be for sure.

I have the same symptons. These have been prevalent for the last few months.
I saw the spine surgeon yesterday. He also suspsects spinal cord being constricted at the C5/C4 level. I had a fusion of C5-C7 in 2001 due to injuries from an auto accident.

They did an MRI yesterday. I go back on the 20th for another appointment.

I'll keep you appraised.

Best wishes,
Janet
