I was wondering if anyone has any idea on how to curb the hunger that comes with taking Seroquel? Thanks in advance!

Chocolate milk seemed to help me a lot. Everytime I'd hav ethe urge to hit the cupboard and grab a snack i'd drink a glass of choclate milk (skim) this cuts calories hits the sweet tooth provides calcium (that us women all need) and cuts back on weight gain. Hope this helps you.

Hey, ive found that keeping a big jug of ice water by my bed helps.. when i feel hungry i just have a huge glass of water, also something like a granola bar is very filling but low cal. hope that helps... (when i first started on the seroquel years ago i gained like 10 pounds before i realised what was making me so hungry lol)

When I get the urge to eat non-scheduled snacks I have been going for a brisk walk around town. When I get back in, I have a full glass of water and a small handful of peanuts, cashews, or something of the sort. It gives the body something to metabolize during the shower I usually take directly afterward. Be careful with the snack foods though...it can be very tough to stop eating!!
Also, peanut butter is great. This may sound odd to some folks, but many nights I will take a low-carb tortilla (soft) and spread a tablespoon of peanut butter on one side, wrap it up and put it on a plate in the microwave for about 20-30 seconds. This is a very filling treat that tastes sweet despite not having more than 3-4 grams of sugar and 200 calories. Add a 4oz glass of milk and I'm full.

I've done that tortilla thing! It IS delicious - tastes just like a crepe!
Also, saltine crackers are good if you have a crunchy/salt craving - they only have like 2 calories each. You can also drink a cup of chicken broth, that only has like 20 calories. I know how you feel, I struggle with munchies almost every day! Hope the Seroquel works out for you..!!

My pdoc told me to drink lots of water throughout the day. I'm not really sure whether this worked or not. I guess it worked somewhat, but it is difficult to drink water when the stomach is rumbling so.

I wake up at night, every night, so many times and get up and fix a snack and take it back to bed with me. In the morning there are crumbs all over the bed and dishes on the floor. I have been taking Seroquel at 900mg per night. I saw my pdr. today and he cut the Seroquel down to 300 mg. per night. I hope it helps. I got up four times last night and made cinnimin toast and took it to bed with me. I have gained 30 pounds from doing things like this.
Also, I have been placed on Provigil and would like to hear others thoughts about this drug and how it has affected them. Thanks.
