Hi MY FATHER HAS BEEN HAVING PAINS UNDER HIS RIBS FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS. FINALLY HE WENT TO A SURGEON AND HE FELT A LIMPOMA IN THAT AREA. DOES THAT CAUSE PAIN AND COULD IT BE CANCER?

Do you mean lipoma? A lipoma is a benign tumor of fatty tissue. They can be various sizes and yes even be painful. But they are non-cancerous.
Or do you mean lymphoma, which is a cancer and needs to be treated?
If it's a lipoma they can be removed, but sometimes can return. Some people are just prone to them and have many of them.
