What are the side effects of the Excelon patch? Is muscle weakness one of the side effects? My mother has recently started using the patch and had trouble with leg weakness.

According to my drug book, Adverse effects of Excelon are:

Nausa, vomiting, anorexia, diarrhoea, abdominal pain.
Headache, dizziness, somnolence, fatigue, astheria, malaise
Tremor, agitation, confusion
increased sweating
(rare) gastric/duodenal ulcers.

May increase risk of gastic bleeding if given with NSAIDs,
may increase muscle relaxation.


so .. yeah ...........it can.
