Hi,
Well I am post op 6 weeks today. Had bunions and big toes straightened on both feet on June 12th. Had removable pins that came out 2 weeks ago. Just went to the Dr's and he put me in my new, one size larger (to accomidate swelling) athletic shoes. Still have some dry skin, but my incision site is so awesome. He took the stitches out at my one week appt and put steri strips on. Because of this, you cannot even see where he cut. I still have two very small scabs where the pins came out. I was in surgical shoes from the day of surgery until today, and totally weight bearing (though mostly on the outsides of my feet due to the ace bandage wrapping). I am so glad I had them both done at one time. I was house bound except for going to the Dr's for the first four weeks, but have a husband who waited on me totally. I still have to take it easy so that I don't injure the bones that were broken. Toes are still a bit sore when exercising them to loosen them up, but not unbearable. Good luck to anyone having this done and I hope you have as great a Dr and experience as I have had.
