View Full Version : Another neuroma?

Just wondering if anyone could help me figure out what is wrong with my foot? I had hammertoe surgery four years ago, and it didn't heal correctly (it stuck way up in the air, the scar was horrible and the toe was incredibly swollen.) The Dr. did a second surgery to make the toe lay down and to make the scar smaller. I then developed a neuroma in the same foot, and I had that removed through the bottom of the foot (by a different podiatrist.) About 7 months after, I had a neuroma removed from the OTHER foot. Most recently, (in April,) I had yet another neuroma removed from the right foot. Now...here I am with pain again in the original foot. The pain is extremely sharp under the last two toes, and it is extremely painful if the ball of my foot gets "squeezed together" (if I move the toes together or put direct pressure on the area under those toes when walking.) Has anyone had an experience with multiple neuromas? Has anyone had a neuroma in the last interspace? (I guess it would be the 3rd and 4th interspace?) Could this possibly be plantar fascitis? I don't have any heel pain---it is very localized around the ball of the foot.
Thank you in advance for any advice---
Liz
