Hi Everyone,
This is snodove1958. Long story but I had to change my log in information. Couldn't get to my email account for a lot of reasons. May just do away with that one anyway.lol.
I have been trying to get some pain relief from my foot pain and bunion but about the only thing that helps is soaking it.
The top of my toes and foot hurt worse than anything right now.
I hope everyone is getting along well.
I am trying to find a good surgeon. The doctor my regular doctor referred me to I am not sure if she is board certified. The doctor that works with her is. I may see about going to him later for a second option.
Depending on how she seems ect in Oct.
I don't want just anyone cuttng on me.
Thanks for listening.

Good luck. That's plenty of time to do some asking-around, isn't it? You must live in a small town where there aren't many podiatrists. Also, search engines to learn all the terminology so you don't feel like a complete stranger are helpful.

Having something small treated, or toenails properly trimmed might be a good idea to get acquainted if you think you might use that doctor.

in the meantime, i've told my friends who have bunions, before surgery. to use the toe pads. i put them underneath the liner of my shoes. sometimes depending upon the shoe i'll get a 1/2 size bigger, sometimes it's not needed. the toe pad will push the foot towards the back versus forward. there's more pressure towards the front of the feet. also, if i wear dress shoes or heels, i use the toe pads, because it offers a cushion, and less of an incline on the foot. good luck.

Hi, Thank you. I found if I put a pad inside my shoe it helps alot. I put one between my big toe and second toe too and that helps some from the rubbing.
