I have a pair of pointy-toed, very low-heeled black shoes that I wear with dark jeans to dress it up a bit.
Here's what I'm looking for:
Pantyhose or nylon material "trouser socks" in black. I want them to come BELOW my knees, just as regular socks do, but be the same material as sheer panty-hose.
Do these exist?
In JCPenney I've seen "trouser socks." Are these what I'm describing, or do trouser socks come up MUCH higher, like knee-highs?
Thanks, ladies!
Sue :)

They do exist. I have several pair of trouser socks that only come up to above my ankle. I've gotten them at different stores, but most dept. stores carry them. They may not be as sheer as sheer pantyhose, but they are definately much thinner than a sock.

Awesome!
So the term "trouser sock" means that it will fall BELOW the knee? I just want to confirm that "trouser sock" and "knee-highs" are not the same thing.

I'm sure there are some that go to the knee, but not the ones I get. Mine go up far enough that when you sit down, they still don't show from under the pants leg, but they are not really high. I couldn't deal with that.

I buy "trouser socks" to wear with pants and heels at work. They go to just below the knee (they are not long enough to go over the knee). I get mine at the department store. I've got all different brands and they come in all sorts of thickness, colors and patterns. Mine are just like nylons. I have really sheer ones in black and nude and also more opaque ones and ones with patterns. You can get all sorts.
If you want nylons that go up to below the knee - that's "trouser socks" :)

I picked up a pair at JCPenney's yesterday. They're great!
Thank you for your help, ladies!

hELLO,
Just wanted to let you know there is a company called SILKIES. They offer very good quality trouser socks that are about the same as regular knee length socks. Also have great pantyhose and knee-his. You can check them out online. Again it is SILKIES. They have a website.
All the best
