Hi ladies, long time no talk. Well I had my LEEP done 5 months ago and have my follow up in three weeks. Please keep your fingers crossed that my pap comes back NORMAL!

For those of you going through the LEEP anytime soon, do not worry. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. In fact, I was up and back to the gym about a week later and was "intimate" with my boyfriend 4 wks later with ZERO issues.

Hey

I am in the same position as you, I had my Leep in June and my follow up is in 4 weeks time and I am so nervous! I wish you lots of luck and prey everything will be ok....please do the same for me :-)!

I am pleased you had a good Leep experience. Mine was terrrible, I found the procedure unbelievably painful that I was sick and fainted twice. I would NEVER have it done awake again....terrible. Then a week after the Leep I went for a walk and ended up bleeding so much I passed out and went to hospital, they managed to slow the bleeding down but I continued to bleed for 4 weeks after.....I had sex 7 weeks after the Leep, which was a week longer than I had been told (just to be on the safe side) and everything was ok! Thanks god for that, but I dont wish you repeat the Leep EVER!!

Let me know how your follow up app goes and I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

x

K2626 & Smith77

Sending good thoughts and prayers to you both.

I just had my 3rd post leep follow up and everything was normal. :blob_fire

My first pap post leep was still showing abnormal cells, but i really believe that was due to having the pap to soon after the proceedure. I had my first follow up at 3 months. It seems that those who wait and have the first pap at the 6 month mark get normal results.

Take care
~Lisa

Wow Smith, I am sorry to hear your experience was so bad. Do you know the size of the tissue they took out? Mine was about the size of a nickel depth and circum. I would say.

I will keep you in my thoughts......and pls keep us posted!!!!

I'm not sure what size it was too be honest, as the doctor didnt tell me and I was too busy fainting to actaully look and see ha ha!

If I EVER have to go through that again though I will be demanding to be put to sleep!!!

How are you feeling now, are you nervous? I havent got my appointment through yet but my doctor called me yesterday to say that an appointment will be made for me soon and it will be during December!

I didnt sleep last night and feel sick of nerves. I am sat at work now nearlly falling asleep.

Anyone got any tips on coping with the worry and nerves?

thanks all xx

Hi Smith. I am not feeling too nervous right now, probably because I have other health issues I am now stressed over! This has been a bad health year for me which I just do not understand. I am 32, eat healthy and work out 5 times a week-bad luck I guess! :(

What do I do to cope? Well I am not very good at coping with health issues, I always think the worst! But as many ladies say, stressing out really puts your body through a lot. I try to keep in mind that whatever is thrown at me is meant to be one way or another and that there are so many medical advancements that we are lucky.

When is your appointment? Mine is tomorrow!
