View Full Version : Hives and Lymphoma?

Hi Everyone,
I haven't visited the forum in a couple of months, but I have a couple of questions. A couple of months I was scared about a couple of palpable lymph nodes that 4 doctors/surgeons told me were nothing. Well since then they haven't changed and are probably smaller which is good. But I have recently been very itchy and breaking out in hives every night just before I go to bed that goes away by the morning. What sould I do? There's nothing to really biopsy so how can they determine if the hives are from lymphoma. Is this typical with NHL or HL?
Also, is the itching with lymphoma constant, or only at night? Thank you so much for your help!

All I know is that itching is one of the symptoms. I don't think that hives are. It sound more to me like an allergic reaction to something. How long has the nighttime itchiness been for?

Thanks Deb. It's been a couple of weeks. I don't really have any swollen nodes anymore, I don't think, so it's really weird. I thought I have read that hives are a symptom. Is itchiness a symptom of both NHL and HL? Is it continuous like all day long? Thanks!

Yes, itchiness is a symptom of both and I think it can happen all day long. I have heard of people saying they were itchy with no rashes. Have you started to use new laundry detergent?
