So this morning I was randomly running my tongue along my teeth when I came across a lump on my cheek in the upper right corner of my mouth. After inspection at first I thought it was an ulcer, however it now seems to be a darker red than the colour of my cheek.
This is the first I have noticed of it so im not sure how long it has been there. It doesnt seem particularly large, probably slightly bigger than your typical ulcer.
It doesnt seem to hurt but as im panicking im not sure if im feeling (or not feeling) non-existant symptoms, like I have a sore throat but its just came on a few minutes ago and have over the last few weeks felt alot of fatigue (which again could well just be something else, I hope! ).
I do have a problem with my wisdom teeth that are in a decayed state, unfortunatley im extremely emetaphobic which prevents me being knocked out, and therefore having them removed.
Is it possible this is not cancer and is a result of something resulting from that?
Any help is appreciated, or if you need any more information please ask!
Im very anxious and eager to find out what is wrong!
Thanks in advance to all of you who are able to help,
Phoenix.

On further inspection, it appears to have similar characterstics as a spot, by this I mean is seems to protrude and have a head, and seems to be round-ish.
Im not sure if this helps at all with my description, again, any help is very much appreciated.

My sister in law has mouth cancer and I believe her spots were white.
She thought for a while it was her teeth.
If I hear anything else will let you know. For right now I would not worry.

Excuse me, but that's not good advice. I had a friend who had a lump in his mouth. It was red, white and he refused to get it checked out.
He's dead now.
Seriously. It spread all over his body and killed him.
If he'd have gone to the doctor when he FIRST HAD THIS LUMP, he'd be alive.
It's really stupid to seek advice on a message board REGARDING SOMETHING THAT CONCERNS YOUR LIFE.
Sorry, had to get nasty but when I think of my friend, I get upset. Don't end up like him.

leukoplakia presents itself as a white patch of lump, however erythroplakia is darker red. I know that it has been a month since you posted, but the rule of thumb with any symptom is, if it is there for more that 2 weeks, then it should be checked as it may be a more serious condition. hopefully it has resolved on its own, however, if it hasnt, i would make an appointment with an ENT immediatley. Please let us know

Get it checked. I let mine go, and paid the price for it.
