Sometimes its just in your genes. My son (who is 15) went to a club that my bf DJ's in. The girls in the bar were asking my bf about my son. They thought he was in his 20's. He just looks old for his age.

Blueberries have been scientifically proven to have anti-aging powers. Research blueberries. Also, Alaskan blueberries have 10 times the antioxidant level than a common blueberry.

So if you want to stay looking young I would recommend blueberries.

Do you smoke?

People who smoke age a lot quicker, and look a lot older.

Use night and day creams also to keep your skin supple. Eat plenty of fruit and veg, and excercise and get lots of fresh air too.

Hello Johnny

I am sorry... this can be an upsetting issue. MOst times our demeanor can make us look peppy and young or worried and kind of washed out and older looking. I think a full massage, including a facial massage could make you look and feel so much better and happier feeling and looking. ( and yes, many, many males have massages and facials.... good birthday or holiday gift to ask for maybe?).

Also, Fish oil is good for many, many things.. beyond belief how many actually. I began using it for choleterol ( older chbby lady here). I noticed that my skin began to look much better and younger after using it for a couple of weeks. Fish oil also helps with brain chemistry ( those who suffer from ADD are now seeing really promising resutls with it). It can help calm the ragged nerves.

And, maybe most importantly, why are you stressed, young friend? Getting the stress issues resolved would be a HUGE step into a more happy and youthful demeanor and appearance. Stress sure can make us look haggard, tired and old. Reducing the stress will make vast improvements in your inside and out. Physical activity is a great stress reducer as well as a mental calmer.

Wishing you well. I think if you can try some of the advice offered by everyone here, you are going to see much more of your youthfulness showing up in your appearance.

Another thing,

Are you dressing and acting your age? Are you dressing in clothes appropiate for a 17 year old? Or are you dressing like you want to be in your 20s and 30s? Do you try to act like you are 20 to 30 years old? How you dress and how you act will also influence how people respond to you and how they perceve you to be age wise. In other words - act your age. Act like you are 17 and having a good time. This is the time of your life to enjoy yourself....this is the time when you have the least responsibilities you wll ever have so enjoy life to the fullest.....lighten up, if you are suffering from depression, get some help so you can enjoy this time.....

good luck...

Hello mate,
You didnt tell me ur weight and ur habits like drinking and smoking.
These can have adverse effect on ur skin and weight.
If you want to be young ,i suggest you should go for a diet rich in antioxidants. You can get it from prunes as it is extremely rich in it then all veggies from cabbage family, more of strwberries, blueberries, spinach and so on...Always keep in mind to drink plenty of water...Your skin will become absolutely fine...Also try to cut down refined food as it can make u look old and you will end up putting loads of weight.
Try these few tips ...the results would be amazing...

Lot of good advice given already.. I just reiterate what has been said - If you party heavily, miss sleep, keep late hours, drink alcoholic beverages, smoke cigarettes or marijuana or do any type of drugs that you don't need, you are greatly increasing your chances of premature aging. All of these things are terribly hard on the body, and if the body isn't taken care of it will show up in many ways. Also, if you're under a great deal of stress, that can greatly affect aging and appearance. Think about it..

Take care young man because at 17 you shouldn't look 30.

Best of luck.

When I was a teenager everyone thought I was much older, I had a very shapely body and I think my attitude was older. And people actually told me later I would look old!
Well not the case at all, in fact I look really great for my age- I'm in my mid 40's by the way. People comment now on how young I look:)
You can not tell the outcome, of what you will look like at your age at all!
But other people have given good advise here, eat well take care of your self:)

I have to agree with Mainegirl - that it can be in your genes...I have people tell me all the time that I don't look my age (50) that I look younger...and alot has to do with how you care for yourself!

Hello,

When I have no pains, I look much younger.

I have some strange pains. They can change my look in one hour for 20 years.
I am looking for somebody - some research, that finds out what kind of pains I have (I don't know after 18 years of searching the cause)?
