just what has your doc told you about the possible reason for having protien in your urine?has he ordered any other testing for you to take a good look at your kidneys?has he done (blood)lab work on your kidneys besides the protien check done on your urine?everything within the normal ranges in those labs if you actually had them?one of the very first(in most cases)signs or symptoms of a possible kidney problem is having that protien in your urine.this really does need follow up with other tests.just checking the kidney labs ALONG with something like an ultrasound that would take an actual scan of the kidneys themselves really needs to be done in your case.you cannot rely solely on labwork when it comes to certain types of conditions and or diseases of the kidneys and some other organs as well.you do need both just to really get the best possible overall picture of the kidneys and how well they are functiong down to actual blood flow thru them which is done with that ultrasound.you just need to know what may be going on with your kidneys.

i have had kidney disease for many years and can honestly say i have never heard about possible infertility because of it.did your doc tell you that?Marcia

If there are any deformities of the kidneys (i.e. ectopic or fusion) it is possible that there are deformities of the uterus which can induce infertility but I know of no other link.
