I've been to two trusted doctors in two different states about this and they both have said it's nothing! A few months ago I noticed a small red half halo going around the preimiter of my nails - right under where you would usually cut. I thought maybe I cut too far last time so I paid no mind. But the redness then appeared on my fingernails as well - yes I did happen to use the same nail clipper but have since stoppped. The redness seems to be getting lower on my nails. The skin under my nails is often dry and there is skin that can be removed - like if you are peeling in the summer, but thicker skin. It looks as if the skin is seperating from my nail slowely but surely and that i's getting lower - I think I can cut further down on my nails.
Again I went to TWO completely different doctors who checked and said it is nothing - but It isnt going away. Does anyone have any info?
