I am wearing a neat gold sequin top on my bday with jeans and pumps, my only accessory is a butterfly ring. I am not sure what to do about my makeup. I have a lovely red lipstick I was thinking of wearing, but don't have a clue about my eyes!

Since you want to wear red lipstick, keep your eyes light. Maybe a shimmery gold shadow to go with your shirt. Don't go overboard on eye liner all around the eyes - try using brown and maybe a little black at the corners. Just remember that if you wear dark lipstick, it's best not to have real dark eyes. thank you, that does help! Should I do a very light on lids and brow but instead of liner do more of a gold an inner corners and along lash line, or is that too much? I don't want to do TOO much gold either :)

I would do one of those new white liners with silver metallics to make a real statement, any maybe a metallic pink shadow or a matte opal/mother of peral shadow.

Not too heavy on mascara

The gold shimmery shadow would look great! Just apply a little bit and not too much! If you want eyeliner, stick with a color like brown so it won't get too dramatic with your red lips. I usually HAVE to wear eyeliner or it just looks funny without it with me. I also always wear mascara too... without it my eyes look small and it never looks overdone on me. Putting a put of shimmer in the corner of your eyes looks good, but again just be sure not to apply a lot! When I a silver or shimmery white, it usually shows up a LOT so gold will be more natural looking for this. I would just to through a trial run before your birthday so you can see for sure how it looks! Have fun!!
