Can urinary tract infections be contagious through having sex?

Yes and no.
You don't "catch" uti from a partner the way you might herpes or AIDS. However, women can often develop uti after sex, due to bacteria (the kind that are around everywhere) getting shoved up the urethra. Urinating soon after intercourse helps prevent uti, as it will wash out the bacteria before they can take hold.
I don't think the same applies to men.
If you think you have a uti, (cloudy urine, pain when urinating), go get some antibiotics ASAP.
