I am having 3 impacted wisdom teeth removed on Tuesday and I need to go to the grocery store (so my husband doesn't have to do EVERYTHING) and stock up on foods that I will be able to eat. Can anyone give me some suggestions? I know that I need soft foods like pudding, soup etc...I also just had braces put on AGAIN (I had them as a teenager) because my back teeth had shifted and I have been clenching during the night which gave me terrible TMJD (massive headaches). So the braces have also prevented me from eating much of anything too solid anyway, but I am looking for any suggestions.
Thank you.

I had 3 wisdom teeth removed 2 days ago. My favorite thing I bought to eat was rice pudding. It's just plain delicious and I can't get sick of it. Get some yogurt, but I got sick of that fast. Oatmeal and applesauce are also good.
But I wish I bought more soups. Any soup without huge chunks of meat is fine. Ramen noodle is bad though, I tried and it failed. Ice cream is good since the first day they wanted me to eat only cold stuff.
It's not hard. Think more about what you enjoy than what you need, and try to cover as many food groups as possible which is what soup is really good for.
Don't bother with fruit. All fruit has some level of acidity and I find is still impossible to eat without serious pain.
Get LOTS of milk too, preferably whole milk to keep you full. Get at least some variety of drinks.
Oh and the most important thing I bought were these drinkable yogurts. They were the first thing I could easily eat, I would recommend it.
